Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Coordinator - Hospital Operations.
In this role, the successful candidate as the Project Coordinator will support Hospital Operations by contributing to the development, implementation and success of hospital-wide programs and operational initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Optimize or create operational processes for improvement of care quality, efficiency, and patient experience, evaluate the efficacy of current processes, develop new clinical or operational policies, and launch new programs and initiatives in partnership with project stakeholders
  • Assemble and maintain project plans and documentation of project and/or program progress
  • Coordinate enterprise communication and change management strategy for impacted areas
  • Able to balance diverse opinions from all levels of while managing to achieve project results for the good of the organization
  • Build and promote constructive working relationships with all stakeholders, using good judgement to provide objective recommendations
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, analyses, and recommendations for process improvement
  • Perform data analyses to support project planning and evaluate project process and outcome measures. Subsequently uses analysis to infer project impact and will make suggestions for intervention iterations based on the data
  • Assists in the development of all new programs and projects as directed by Hospital Operations
  • Assists in the development and execution of stated goals and objectives for Hospital Operations
  • Help inpatient and perioperative units adhere to the established HRO framework by managing unit initiatives and projects, complete weekly scorecards, prep unit leadership for quarterly presentations to senior hospital leaders, analyze unit performance data, etc.
  • Act as trusted partner of the unit leaders in creating and evaluating new unit processes that help units achieve yearly metric goals established by senior leadership
  • Recognizing routine problems and recommending suggestions, ideas, and solutions. For example, proactively addresses any regulatory concerns by frequently rounding on inpatient and perioperative patient care units to identify issues (i.e. identifying expired equipment, broken furniture, facilities issues, etc.)
  • Facilitate project team meetings, including setting meeting objectives/agendas, noting key decisions, and following up on action items
  • Use project management tools and best practices to track key milestones, owners, and target completion dates
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to Project/Program manage and to multi-task while paying attention to details.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to Project/Program manage and to multi-task while paying attention to details.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $70,481.60 - $75,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
