Job summary

UNC Health Care in Chapel Hill, NC seeks a project administrator to direct, organize and control project activities under the guidance of a Project Manager or Director. The role spends more than half the time on managing projects and collaborating with team members to gather and evaluate business needs.

Offer includes a $3,000 Commitment Incentive paid in 6 installments over 3 years. Position is full-time with a hybrid work arrangement and competitive hourly salary range.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
  • If Bachelor’s, 1 year of administrative/office support or 6 months of project-related support.
  • If an Associates degree, three (3) years of experience providing project-related support.
  • If a high school diploma/GED, seven (7) years of experience providing project-related support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Manager in developing a comprehensive workflow process for projects.
  • Maintain communication with project members to assure timely completion and proper documentation.
  • Monitor and modify project schedule; manage document control and reporting.
  • Prepare and edit project-related presentations; coordinate meetings and travel arrangements.
  • Schedule follow-up meetings; publish communications to project shareholders; track status and reports.
  • Provide administrative support for the General Surgery Residency Program.
  • Coordinate resident onboarding, educational activities, meetings, and program operations.
  • Collaborate with faculty, residents and institutional partners to support graduate medical education initiatives.

Summary:

Responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities, under the direction of a Project Manager or Director. This position spends >50% of time worked on managing projects. Works with project team members to gather and evaluate business.

Incentive:

$3,000 Commitment Incentive paid out in 6 installments over 3 years.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assists Project Manager in developing a comprehensive workflow process for projects. Reviews project proposal and deliverables with Project Management and other related departments that will be involved to determine proper lead time.

  2. Maintains communication with project members to assure timely and efficient completion of jobs, proper communication of issues, and proper documentation of the entire process.

  3. Monitors and modifies project schedule as assigned. Maintain document control, database management, track project activities and team communication. Assists project team and team lead in strategic meetings and follow up with meeting notes.

  4. As project lead, prepares and edits project-related presentations and charts. Coordinates meetings, including travel arrangements and expense reports. Maintains Project Managers calendars.

  5. Schedules project follow up meetings as needed. Develops and publishes communications to project shareholders. Develops and reviews project status and reports.

  6. Provide administrative support for the General Surgery Residency Program

  7. Assist with the coordination of resident onboarding, educational activities, meetings, and program operations.

  8. Collaborate with faculty, residents and institutional partners to support graduate medical education initiatives.
