Job summary

State Bar of Texas in Austin seeks a cooperative Project Coordinator for the Legal Access Department to help expand access to justice for low-income Texans. You will coordinate large conferences, events, and meetings, manage communications, and provide administrative support across departments.

The role requires a college degree (preferred) and at least two years of related experience, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred.
  • At least two years of related work experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with high performance.
  • Spanish language ability is desirable.
  • Experience with legal aid organizations or nonprofits is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics for conferences and training events, including the Poverty Law Conference.
  • Facilitate LAD communications and administrative support regarding activities, programs, and events.
  • Assist with administrative support for the LAD Director, and for legal aid and pro bono attorneys as directed.
  • Facilitate committee and stakeholder meetings as directed.
  • Handle meeting logistics for LAD-related committees.
  • Facilitate development and fundraising efforts of LAD as directed.
  • Interface with the public via phone and email.
  • Handle staff and volunteer travel arrangements.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed.
