Job summary

Job description

Job Description

Responsible for planning, overseeing, and participating in the execution of LIMS, operations, quality, and client service projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget.

Job Functions
  • Monitor project progress and deliver status reports, timelines, issues, risks and action items to stakeholders and team members.
  • Develop, maintain, and participate in a project plan for lab implementation of the LIMS system and projects enhancing the functionality of the LIMS system.
  • Proactively lead operational projects, including new laboratory builds, to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Understand all applicable aspects of the project, including rationale, regulations, and methods employed by the client and laboratory to produce results.
  • Coordinate implementation of a quality software platform across all food laboratories and manage and communicate enhancements to the software package.
  • Perform technical review of incoming work.
  • Manage vendors for sub‑contracted work and research options for additional vendors.
  • Manage and participate in all aspects of large client requests for proposal (RFP) to deliver a complete and quality product by client deadlines.
Education and Experience
  • 4-year degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or closely related field. Required.
  • 2+ years of laboratory experience. Required.
  • Effective problem prevention and problem-solving skills. Required.
  • Written and verbal communication skills necessary to cross multiple disciplines. Required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Required.
  • Proficiency with LIMS and Client Portal systems. Required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Language Skills: English, Advanced.
  • Mathematical Skills: Intermediate. Reasoning Skills/Abilities: Advanced.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
  • Familiarity with databases and LIMS required; experience with statistical software packages or online quality system packages is a plus.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast‑paced, highly professional environment.
