Job summary

IEM is seeking a Full Time Project Assistant to support the Project Manager by reviewing CDBG-MIT applications, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating project documentation and compliance. The role also assists with environmental, and construction reviews, prepares reports and presentations, and ensures timely submission of deliverables to PRDOH.

Based in Guaynabo, PR, the position requires local presence and bilingual English/Spanish communication, with travel as needed to complete

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in construction project management is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Architecture is required.
• Fluent verbal and written communications in English and Spanish are required.
• Architect in Training (AIT) or Engineer in Training (EIT) license is preferred.
• Must be working locally within Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in daily operations and identified responsibilities.
• Perform initial review and comment of Applications, Draw Requests, Change Orders, and related documentation.
• Perform risk assessment evaluations of eligible projects and prepare reports and recommendations for PRDOH.
• Recommend projects for development and review subrecipient work plans.
• Prepare environmental review work plans in coordination with Environmental Professional.
