Job summary

JMF Underground Inc. is seeking a PP&L Project Coordinator to support planning, execution, and closeout of underground utility construction projects. The role liaises between field operations, management, clients, and vendors to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and compliance.

You will assist the PP&L Project Manager with documentation, scheduling, procurement, and communications, focusing on efficiency and customer satisfaction across projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of project coordination, construction administration, or utility construction experience preferred.
• Experience in underground utility, electric utility, civil construction, or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
• Experience with project management software, ERP systems, or utility management systems preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and project coordination support to the PP&L Project Manager.
• Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion of work.
• Coordinate with field crews, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors regarding project needs and schedules.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including permits, work orders, contracts, change orders, and closeout packages.
• Enter and update project information in company and client management systems.
• Assist with project budgeting by tracking costs, invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor payments.
• Monitor material procurement and delivery schedules to support field operations.
• Coordinate utility locates, inspections, and permitting requirements as needed.
• Generate and distribute project status reports, production updates, and customer communications.
• Maintain accurate records of project activities and job progress.
• Support invoice preparation and documentation required for customer billing.
• Assist with workforce scheduling and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and PP&L project requirements.
• Communicate project issues and potential delays to the PP&L Project Manager and appropriate stakeholders.
• Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting notes and action items.

About the Role :

The PP&L Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the successful planning, execution, and closeout of underground utility construction projects for PP&L.
