Qualifications

  • A BS Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or Engineering preferred. Other degree fields and related experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain business relationships with all levels of the company to provide project status.
  • Document project scope, schedule, tasks, risks, and reports to communicate progress.
  • Use visual processes and tools to track project progress, challenges, and timing.
  • Identify and coordinate cross-functional resource needs.
  • Lead meetings to determine objectives, track progress, troubleshoot challenges, and execute deliverables.
  • Communicate plans to management and address risks with Project Manager II / Senior Project Manager.
  • Maintain regular customer contact throughout the contractual period, including accounts receivable, warranty claims, and change order management.
  • Estimate tasks involving change order costing, make/buy analysis, and design/manufacturing decisions.

Job description

The Project Coordinator is responsible for planning one or more lower level projects throughout the organization while ensuring the projects are delivered within scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards that meet the customer’s expectation. Utilizes project management tools and processes to strategically support organizational growth and development.

Essential Job Functions
  • Responsible for building and maintaining business relationships, which includes working with all levels and organizations of the company to maintain and provide status of key projects.
  • Develop and implement plans to document project scope, schedule, tasks, risk management, and reports to communicate progress to the team.
  • Utilize visual processes and tools to track projects progress, challenges, and timing.
  • Identify and coordinate resource needs cross-functionally throughout the organization.
  • Work cross-functionally with others and assist to lead meetings to determine objectives, track progress, troubleshoot challenges, and execute deliverables assigned to project.
  • Identify risks and inefficiencies and works with Project Manager II / Senior Project Manager to troubleshoot and resolve. Communicate plan to management.
  • Maintain routine direct contact with the customer throughout the contractual agreement until the order has been successfully completed. This includes tasks associated with accounts receivable ensuring timely payments are received, warranty claims, timely updates to the customer about their project, change order management, and schedule communication.
  • Responsible for estimating tasks involving change order costing, make/buy analysis, and comparison of alternative design and manufacturing decisions.
  • Develop support solutions through partnership with a Project Manager II / Senior Project Manager that address any project concerns while meeting the customers’ needs and aligning with the expectations of the industry associated with the work.
  • Leverages knowledge of Project Manager II / Senior Project Manager in regards to Project Management methodology, skills, and tools.
  • Ensures lessons learned applied to future efforts.
  • Cross train and flex to estimating responsibilities as required by product line needs.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Travel to customer locations including international travel could be up to 25% as required by the project.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position.

  • Ability to efficiently utilize Microsoft Office and a scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a mechanical aptitude that allows for effective communication of the product to our customers.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in parallel in a time sensitive environment.

Base Compensation Range

$59,159 - $88,739 annually

Variable Compensation Range

Incentive bonus eligibility up to 12% of gross annual salary base on company performance.

Professional office environment with some time spent in the manufacturing area. Exposure to conditions, such as: dust, fumes, noise and high-degree varying seasonal temperatures. Machinery with energy sources including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, or other energy.
