Tape is seeking a Coordinator to support events, projects, and member community in New York City. This generalist role rewards strong organization and a dynamism for being on the ground, greeting guests, managing check-ins, and ensuring smooth operations across multiple teams.
You'll move between planning tasks and on-site execution, coordinating guest lists, RSVPs, and materials while maintaining clear communication across clients and internal teams.
Tape is building the media infrastructure for how IRL culture is discovered, shared, and amplified.
The founding team includes experienced media, technology, and entertainment executives.
We're looking for a Coordinator to help support across the business.
Tape is looking for a Coordinator to keep things running across our events, projects, and member community. This is a generalist role for someone who is extremely organized and genuinely likes being out in the world. On any given day you might be scheduling member texts in the morning, updating a guest list at lunch, ordering materials for an activation in the afternoon, and checking people in at the door that night. You'll be at all of our events. You'll be the friendly, on-top-of-it presence who greets members, manages check-in, and makes sure things run smoothly on site.
Tape operates like an agency. We run our own programming alongside client projects, and you'll support multiple teams and work streams at once. The right person moves easily between the laptop and the room and between detail work and people work, and can switch between priorities without losing track of anything.
It's a great fit for someone early in their career who wants hands-on experience across events, production, marketing, and community at the intersection of tech, media, and culture.
Success looks like events that run smoothly from guest list to check-in, projects that stay organized and on schedule, materials and logistics handled before anyone has to ask, and member communications that are timely, accurate, and on-brand.
This role touches nearly every part of the business. It has clear room to grow into producing, project management, or community management as Tape scales.
Full-time independent contractor working on a hybrid schedule from our Brooklyn HQ.
Compensation is $3,000-3,750 per month ($36,000-45,000 annualized), depending on experience and qualifications.
Candidates should be comfortable attending events throughout New York City, including occasional evenings and weekends.
