About Core Building Co.

Core Building Co. is a family-owned semi-custom home builder in the Treasure Valley. We’re committed to craftsmanship, quality, and strong relationships—with our homeowners, trade partners, and our team. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a detail-driven, experienced Project Coordinator who can serve as the central hub of communication between the field, office, clients, and vendors.

Position Overview

The Project Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the successful execution of our home building process from start to finish. This position bridges the gap between construction and office operations, while also managing communication with clients, trade partners, and vendors. The ideal candidate is highly organized, personable, and has strong experience in residential construction. They thrive in a fast-paced environment and are confident managing multiple projects and personalities with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project schedules, milestones, and deadlines alongside the Construction Manager
  • Serve as a central communication point between superintendents, designers, clients, and vendors
  • Proactively communicate with homeowners to provide updates, manage expectations, and ensure a positive building experience
  • Work with suppliers and trade partners to confirm timelines, deliveries, and scopes of work
  • Organize and manage project documentation including contracts, permits, purchase orders, and change orders
  • Track job costs, assist with budget management, and help identify discrepancies
  • Schedule and prepare for inspections, walkthroughs, and job site meetings
  • Maintain accurate and timely project reports, punch lists, and closeout documentation
  • Ensure all communication and project flow is consistent, documented, and well-executed across departments
  • Provide administrative support to both field and office teams as needed

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in project coordination or construction administration (custom home building experience strongly preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients, vendors, and internal teams
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Buildertrend, Procore, or similar platforms is a plus
  • Must read construction plans in detail
  • Experience in design/interior detail is a plus
  • Understanding of residential construction processes, terminology, and documentation
  • Customer-service mindset and professional demeanor
  • Ability to manage multiple timelines and priorities independently
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field preferred—or equivalent hands-on experience
