Job summary

Thorpe Specialty Services is seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator to support multiple projects in Houston. You will coordinate administrative activities, schedule field staff, and manage customer purchase orders to ensure timely execution.

The role requires 3–5 years in a project-based environment, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication and organizational abilities. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred to assist a diverse workforce and client base.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of project-based work experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred for diverse communication.
  • Experience in financial analysis.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel required.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication, time-management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with customers, suppliers, and staff.

Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all administrative activities for assigned projects as directed.
  • Schedule field employees to assigned jobs as required.
  • Maintain customer purchase orders.
  • Support operations, purchasing, accounts payable, administration staff, and corporate accounting.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks as requested.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards, legal regulations, and alerting others regarding potential hazards or concerns.
  • Adhere to the Company values, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related work experience in a project- based environment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred to support communication with a diverse workforce and customer base.
  • Experience in financial analysis

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit, talk, or hear, sitting for long periods of time.
  • Repetitive movements by wrists and hands in performance of work.
  • Rarely required to bend or lift more than 25 lbs
  • The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.
