Job summary

Lambert’s Cable Splicing is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the project manager with managing projects and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will develop, maintain and update project documentation, track accruals, and forecast monthly and yearly performance. A strong emphasis on KPI reporting and customer satisfaction guides daily activities within a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in an industry related field or combination of education and experience
  • CAPM or PMP Certification is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and project management concepts

Responsibilities

  • Assist the project manager with managing projects
  • Provide meaningful reports using KPIs to aid in managing project health
  • Develop and maintain project documentation
  • Manage program file systems (physical and electronic)
  • Contact customers to obtain project information
  • Complete project close-out per standards
  • Track accruals weekly and report
  • Schedule work and crew makeups with scheduler
  • Review invoices from subcontractors for production and accounting
  • Collaborate with Finance & Accounting, Billing to set up projects in accounting system
  • Forecast month and year for each project and program
  • Create purchase orders
  • Identify and resolve potential issues before they become problems
  • Report project status to all stakeholders
  • Monitor progress, risk and customer experience as project progresses

What you’ll do

You will utilize and provide to management meaningful and timely reports using key performance indicators to aid in managing the health of the project

You will develop, maintain and update project documentation

You will develop and maintain program file system (physical and electronic)

You will contact customers to obtain project specific information

You will complete project close-out per company standards

You will track accruals weekly and turn in at the end of every week

You will schedule work and crew make ups with scheduler for internal and external use

You will review invoices from subcontractors to confirm production and accurate accounting

You will work with Accounts Receivable and Billing Department to make sure all revenue is accounted for and accurate

You will forecast month and year for each project and program

You will create purchase orders

You will work with internal support groups (Finance & Accounting, Billing, etc.) to set up projects in accounting system

You will remove obstacles and empowering Operations to be successful

You will constantly manage and monitor project progress, risk and the quality of the customer experience

You will manage project level activities which include but is not limited to critical path monitoring/alignment, procurement, resource loading/forecasting/conflict resolution and critical path risk identification/mitigation

You will proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they become problems

You will lead efforts to gather all project level status to report on project status to all stakeholders

What you’ll need

You have Bachelor’s Degree in an industry related field or combination of education and experience

You have 2 - 5 years of experience in delivering OSP Telecommunications services or utility related industry

You have CAPM or PMP Certification is a preferred

You are a problem solver and critical thinker

You are proficient in MS Office Applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Project

You understand the project life cycle as defined by PMI

You have the ability to apply project management concepts, and methodology

You have the ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum guidance
