Job summary

Protingent Staffing is seeking a Project Coordinator for a contract engagement. The role focuses on managing project cost, schedule, and scope with a strong emphasis on planning inputs, staffing, and risk management.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in project management, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and proficiency with MS Office, Jira/Confluence, and EVMS concepts. Remote work is acceptable for this position.

Qualifications

• Experience with multidisciplinary and matrixed teams.
• Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and delivering results.
• Working knowledge of EVMS, project control requirements, and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate management of project cost, schedule, and scope using PM best practices.
• Assist teams in achieving deliverables within budget and scope.
• Support planning for work scope within control accounts.
• Coordinate with Reactor PMO and engineering leads for inputs.
• Develop and maintain staffing plans and level resources.
• Monitor cost and schedule variances using EV data vs budget.
• Identify root causes; develop corrective actions and recovery plans.
• Coordinate with Contract Admin to ensure contractual compliance.
• Maintain project records per corporate procedures.
• Manage project risk register and mitigation actions.
• Ensure PMO requirements are followed in work performed.

Position Title: Project Coordinator

Position Description

Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Project Coordinator opportunity.

Job Responsibilities

• Facilitate management of project cost, schedule, and scope execution using project management best practices and principles, ensuring adherence to plan and addressing deviations.
• Assist project teams on achieving project deliverables and staying within budget while still meeting scope and technical performance requirements.
• Support the planning process for the work scope within the control accounts.
• Work with the Reactor Project Management organization and the relevant engineering leads to obtain the necessary planning inputs.
• Develop and maintain staffing/resource plans to accomplish the work and adjust the schedule to be resource leveled.
• Monitor and analyze cost and schedule variances using the earned value (EV) data recorded compared to the time-phased budget.
• Determine root causes and develop corrective actions / recovery plans / variance management plans as necessary to avoid large variances.
• Work closely with the Contract Administrator to ensure that the work performed is in compliance with all contractual requirements.
• Ensure that records on the project are stored in accordance with corporate procedures.
• Maintain the project risk register and ensure that actions are taken to reduce project risk.
• Work closely with Project Management Office (PMO) support, to ensure that work performed follows the PMO requirements.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience directly related to Project Management or Project Delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience working with highly multidisciplinary and matrixed teams.
• Proficiency in project planning, implementation and delivering results.
• Working knowledge of project scheduling and budget control, EVMS tools and project control requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Project.
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and JIRA a bonus.
• Experience with Primavera P6 is a plus.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.
• Strong technical acumen, with the ability to understand complex technical concepts is highly desirable.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.

• Pay Rate Range: $49-$81/hr (Pay rates are approved based on candidate location, education and experience)
• Location: 100% Remote Acceptable
• Export control regulations require candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Legal Permanent Resident, or of a protected person status
