Job summary

Amentum is seeking a mid-level Project Controls Engineer to support the Nuclear Projects Business Unit in Oak Ridge, TN. The role emphasizes cost and schedule control using Primavera P6 and EVMS, with familiarity in PeopleSoft and DelTek COBRA for financial reporting.

Ideal candidates will have a BA/BS in a related field, at least 5 years of project controls experience, and proven ability to manage baseline schedules, EVMS compliance, and funding profiles on federal projects.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Experience with federal government projects preferred.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software (5+ years).
• Experience with EVMS and financial reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop project schedules in Primavera P6 for engineering, design, procurement, fabrication and construction deliverables.
• Apply EVMS guidelines to baseline schedules and estimates.
• Support budget estimates validation for completeness and accuracy.
• Incorporate validated estimates into Primavera P6 for resource-loaded schedules.
• Develop resource and spending profiles to optimize staffing and funding alignment.
• Maintain PMB scope, schedule, and budget via Baseline Change Requests.
