General Purpose:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Project Control Specialist (PCS) to develop and support schedule and budget activities across our project portfolio. This role encompasses project control activities on a portfolio of projects, cost and progress management, forecasting analysis, planning, scheduling, and preparation of project reporting. Additionally, active collaboration with project team members during the development of budgets, forecasts, schedules and monthly cost reporting updates are central to this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ability to create and work within Cost and Work Breakdown Structures (CBS-WBS)

· Provide operational support to Project Managers and project teams throughout the project lifecycle

· Create project budgets from as-sold estimates

· Collaborate with Project Managers, Finance & Accounting on financial reporting and forecasting

· Analyze and report cost variances, cash flow forecasting, and resource planning

· Assist with the development of and maintain resource loaded project schedules

· Lead schedule reviews with site staff, project engineers, and client representation

· Support the definition of progress reporting rules of credit for projects

· Analyze and report schedule impacts

· Track critical activities and changes to the critical path impacting the project

· Able to run critical path reports and support the project team in critical path analysis

· Ability to coordinate multiple sources of schedule inputs into a master schedule

Qualifications:

· 5+ years related project controls work experience (Cost Specialist, Scheduler) on Refining / Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Metals, or engineering capital projects.

· 10+ years of project controls experience in place of degree

· Familiar with large capital programs, extensive pre-construction programming, and scheduling experience maintaining EPC multi-group, multi-disciplinary project schedules

· Experience managing contractor relationships and understanding of best practices in the design and construction industry

· Experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

-Experience with Vista Viewpoint is a plus

· Experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

· Experience in cost and progress management

· Understanding of critical path method scheduling using Primavera Products

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Able to build and maintain strong and trusted working relationships with internal stakeholders

· Able to work as part of a team with strong organizational skills

· Skilled in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point

· Occasional travel may be required
