Xcel Energy Inc. seeks a seasoned Project Controls professional in Denver to lead cost reporting, budgeting and schedule development for strategic capital projects.

You will coordinate with project managers to assemble data, integrate financial and scheduling systems, and mentor stakeholders in best practices for reporting and control. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in project controls, expertise in cost management, and proficiency with SAP, Primavera, Power BI, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with experience in project planning, cost estimating and scheduling.
• Minimum of five years in project controls, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Expert level knowledge of cost control for project estimation and control.
• Scheduling knowledge for planning and monitoring using standard methods.
• Proficiency with standard software including scheduling and cost estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and standardize regional capital project cost reporting and KPIs.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, identify critical paths, and monitor progress.
• Assist in cost analyses and reporting across multiple projects.
• Integrate financial tools with Work & Asset Management Systems and ensure control compliance.
• Provide training and mentoring on processes, systems, and scheduling software.
