Wallace Montgomery is searching for a Project Controls Specialist to join our team.
- Provides various project support at the direction of Senior staff.
- Progressive level of increased responsibility; generally aligned with years of experience in each classification.
- Supports development, monitoring, and execution of constructability/biddability reviews, construction schedules, schedule impact analysis, contract change/work orders, project risk analysis, NOI/claims analysis and coordination, project records, and contract administration, as assigned by the Area Construction Engineer or designee.
- The Project Controls Specialist should have relevant experience in schedule, cost, and quality controls for highway construction projects.
- Requires working knowledge and demonstrated experience with complex construction projects, including:
- VDOT Scheduling Specifications, Federal and State guidelines, and industry standards.
- Construction schedule fundamentals (including CPM), scheduling software such as Primavera, and scheduling techniques.
- Claims avoidance/mitigation, cost estimating, work/change order practices, project record administration, and reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software used by the Department.
- Development of Contract Time Determination Reports (CTDRs).
- Conducting constructability and bidability reviews, and performing cost and schedule analysis.
- Developing and monitoring construction schedules, updating as-built schedules, and analyzing schedule impacts.
- Applying quality assurance and quality control methods.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
