Job summary

Stellar Services is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to maintain and update schedules in Primavera P6, analyze cost and schedule variances, and prepare monthly progress reports. The role involves mentoring junior staff and collaborating across project controls functions.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of Primavera P6 experience, a BS in a relevant field or a PMP with a technical degree, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands‑on Primavera P6 experience (version 8.3 or higher).
• Bachelor of Science in engineering, accounting, economics or business administration; PMP certification with a technical degree.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper project and activity codes in Primavera Systems.
• Review project status periodically and identify schedule/cost variance.
• Perform project/program/portfolio cost and schedule analysis.
• Prepare monthly capital progress/variance reports and assist in executive reports.
• Conduct analysis of capital plan spending and forecasting; report on progress and performance.

• Maintain proper project and activity codes in the Primavera Systems.
• Review project status periodically and identify schedule/cost variance.
• Perform project/program/portfolio cost and schedule analysis.

• Project Controls Specialist requires 1-3 years of hands‑on Primavera P6 experience on version 8.3 or higher.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering, accounting, economic or business administration discipline or a Project Management Professional certification along with a technical degree.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of progressively responsible experience in the area of project control.
• Proficiency in the use of standard Microsoft Office products, Primavera (Oracle’s Project Management software).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
