Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Vice President of Construction to serve as the on-site strategic observer, integrating cost tracking, schedule alignment, and project controls across multiple live builds in a hybrid work environment.

You will own the controls framework, verify billings, and drive transparency with leadership while partnering with field teams to defend the budget and ensure schedule integrity. The role is based in Atlanta, GA, with a focus on complex, multi-project portfolios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Finance, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or Accounting.
• 5–8 years in project controls, cost engineering, or construction accounting.
• 2–3 years on mission-critical or data center construction projects with heavy MEP cost understanding.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain project controls reporting frameworks.
• Maintain active site sub-ledgers and cost-code accounting.
• Review monthly progress billings and pay applications; verify against on-site work.
• Collect and log lien waivers to reduce financial, legal, and title risks.
• Monitor OFE payments and milestone payments for cost isolation.
• Coordinate multi-team and external stakeholders on costs and schedules.
