Summary

The Project Controls Manager I drives successful project delivery, supporting solar, energy storage, wind, transmission, and distribution. This position collaborates closely with the Construction Project Management team to ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Responsibilities include cost control, reporting, forecasting, financial analysis, performance measurement, earned value analysis, contract management, subcontract compliance, invoice management, change management, and risk analysis.

This role will be hybrid, requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Requirements

• Manages the Cost Control Process, including supporting estimating, developing project cost reports, forecasting trends, and analyzing commitments.
• Supports change management by tracking project changes and assessing their impact on budget and scope.
• Administers contracts, ensuring contractual obligations are met and resolving issues.
• Supports project reporting by collecting data and preparing weekly and monthly cost reports.
• Understands scheduling impacts on cost control and supports development of the project execution plan.

Additional Responsibilities

• Supports safety and quality initiatives by leading and modeling best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, construction management, accounting, or 5 years of related experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in Project Controls or Commercial Management in construction.
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with project management and cost software such as Primavera P6, Business World, Procore, HeavyJob, and HeavyBid.

Salary and Benefits

Base salary range: $98,000 - $122,000, bonus eligible. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, life insurance, disability, 401(k), PTO, holidays, tuition reimbursement, and more.
