Los Alamos National Security LLC seeks a senior Project Controls professional to provide leadership in cost and scheduling across LANL projects. You will develop management skills, oversee control system processes, and guide project offices in implementing consistent controls practices onsite in Los Alamos, NM.
Required are extensive EVMS experience, Primavera P6 mastery, and a track record of mentoring teams while coordinating with DOE/NNSA regulators and partners.
This position requires a working knowledge and mastery of project controls tools, processes, and procedures. The successful candidate will be expected to develop management skills and grow in a leadership role to provide leadership and oversight within the Project Controls organization focusing on several projects throughout LANL. Responsible for implementing LANL control system processes, procedures and tools which are executed by the responsible project management offices.
Position requires a bachelor's degree and twelve years of experience in project controls, including a minimum four years of related management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level, post graduate course work may be desirable.
Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 2 years.
This position will be onsite in Los Alamos NM, USA.

Position will be cleared to Q level. Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance which requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon position, additional authorization to access nuclear weapons information may be required that may or may not be available to dual citizens depending upon the circumstances.
Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.
Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.

Position is eligible to participate in the Triad Incentive Compensation Program. You must be in an eligible position for a minimum of 3 months, before July 1st and remain in an eligible position as of the end of the fiscal year, September 30th. The annual distribution is prorated based on the number of months in the eligible position.
