Project Controls Manager

Reports to the Senior Project Manager and manages project controls, schedule, contract administration, and cost control functions. The role requires adherence to established standards of operations.

Job Description

  • Review project schedules for subcontractor onboarding compliance
  • Create and issue subcontractor commitments, including insurance and owner approvals
  • Prepare owner monthly progress reports
  • Document accurate quantities on timecards and ensure compliance with the project cost coding structure
  • Manage all T&M processes per owner or subcontractor requirements
  • Input, monitor, and implement the JDE Quantity Book
  • Ensure accuracy of LDR & Cost Reports
  • Draft letters/notices for review by the Senior Project Manager
  • Review owner notices, document impacts, and coordinate with the project team
  • Develop and manage contract provisions with subcontractors
  • Maintain PCO tracking and execute project change requests
  • Assist with project compliance requirements
  • Develop SOV and coordinate P6 cost loading with the scheduling team
  • Coordinate onboarding, subcontractor payments, and reporting
  • Lead all JDE entries and issue resolution on-site
  • Manage project schedule duties
  • Prepare cost reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, accounting, finance, or related field; 10+ years of heavy construction experience including client coordination, finance, scheduling, and cost control
  • At least 5 years of project controls experience with an engineering or general contractor
  • Strong skills in MS Office, Primavera, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavybid
  • Commitment to ethics and integrity
  • Passion for safety and ensuring a safe work environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and objectives
