Job summary

Bowman seeks an experienced Project Controls professional to join the project execution team in Houston. You will lead cost and schedule management, prepare detailed cost reports, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires 7+ years in project controls, strong ERP experience (MS Dynamics 365, MS Project, Primavera P6), and proficiency in Power BI. You will mentor a team and drive continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
7+ years of experience in project controls, project accounting, cost engineering, or scheduling roles.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement Project Controls processes and procedures.
Consolidate, organize, and integrate cost and schedule data sources to align with WBS/Control Account levels.
Support Project Managers with estimate creation.
Create quantity take-offs and unit rate tables for cost estimates.
Support documentation/version control for Project Managers.
Ensure changes to baselines are DOA approved before execution.
Lead management of change workflow execution and status reporting.
Incorporate external supplier/contractor cost reports into incurred cost and earned value calculations.
Prepare timely, accurate detailed cost reports with coordination from Project Team.
Provide data to support cost irregularities/trends and corrective actions.
Assist with ETC validation by reviewing project schedules and cost forecasts.
Prepare and issue detailed cost reports with input from Project Team.
Create and maintain schedule EPS, WBS, Activity Calendars, Activity Codes, Global Changes, and Resources.
Obtain buy-in/approval of documented schedule baselines.
Provide timely schedule updates with Project Team coordination.
Review external supplier/contractor schedules for Master Integrated Schedule.
Validate forecast accuracy and productivity; produce variance analysis.
Lead planning workshops to define scope, relationships, and dependencies.
Contribute inputs for risk assessment workshops.
Develop and maintain progress measurement reporting integrated with schedule.
Prepare project reports to meet contractual obligations.
Identify and assess cost/schedule irregularities and propose corrective actions.
Develop reporting structure to share project information with stakeholders.
Ensure reporting accuracy reflecting schedule, cost, changes, and supplier performance.
Assess supplier/contractor performance and suggest actions if needed.
Lead a team of Project Controls Specialists and Planners on projects.
Promote open communication among Project Team members.
Strive for continuous improvement across all areas.
