Job summary

Michels Energy Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Controls professional to help manage budgeting, scheduling, and cost control across complex energy and industrial projects. The role requires collaboration with operations to achieve on-time, on-budget delivery and continuous process improvement.

You will develop procedures, train staff, and support project closeout with accurate cost reporting. This position offers growth within a national contractor known for quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 7+ years of related experience or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and business operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; familiarity with project management systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently work with operations to ensure budgeting, scheduling, and project coordination processes.
• Develop and implement standard procedures; train new employees on cost controls.
• Foster continuous growth and improvement in project controls functions.

As Project Controls, your key responsibilities will be to independently work with operations to ensure efficient and effective budgeting, scheduling, and project coordination processes along with ensuring goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within the prescribed parameters. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and training new employees on standard procedures while fostering a culture of continuous growth and improvement.

What it takes?

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting; 7+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination
