Job summary

Michels Infrastructure Solutions, MIS, is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to join our project teams delivering hyperscale data centers and mission-critical infrastructure. You will partner with project management and operations to drive budgeting, forecasting, cost control, reporting, and financial analysis for large-scale builds.

You will collaborate across estimating, procurement, accounting, legal, and field operations to ensure projects stay aligned with budget, schedule, and business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of related experience in project controls, cost control, forecasting, or financial analysis.
• Proficiency with Excel and data-driven reporting.
• Experience with contracts, change orders, and project financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and performance targets.
• Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts, cash flow and cost reports.
• Identify trends, risks, variances, and opportunities for performance improvement.
• Collaborate with estimating, procurement, accounting, legal, and operations.
• Review contracts and manage change orders.
• Develop project controls processes, tooling, and best practices.
• Assist with PO tracking, invoice allocations, and cost coding.
• Support startup, execution, turnover, and closeout with accurate reporting.
