Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers is seeking a Project Controls Intern based in Lone Tree, CO. You will learn to support the administration of financial and control aspects of a project, including cost reports, payroll, procurement, taxes, and contract documentation, while gaining broad exposure to the project lifecycle.

You will work with a team focused on safety, ethics, and professional development, contributing to cost control, reporting, and schedules across US projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• GPA above 3.0 preferred
• Basic understanding of financial terms and calculations (Gain, Loss, Forecast, etc.)
• Basic understanding of standard cost control methods used in EPC, Joint Venture, Lump Sum
• Experience with project controls software such as Excel and Primavera is preferred
• Highly motivated with initiative and ethics
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Assist the cost control system for the project
• Analyze construction costs, cost reports, and labor reports
• Support compliance programs including employment, environmental, transportation, and accounting policies
• Maintain compliance with federal and state taxes, payroll, and property taxes
• Help administer contracts and documentation for subcontracts, material contracts, and owner estimates
• Involvement in the project office setup
