Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Project Controls Engineer for the Riverside, California team. You will contribute to project funding, financial performance management, grant administration support, and related reporting to public agencies.

Responsibilities include cost estimating, analysis, invoice review, and preparing progress reports for government agencies. You will monitor funding, budget, and schedule status, identify variances, and recommend actions aligned with funding guidelines.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in Project Controls or cost control.
• United States work authorization.
• Proficient in MS Office 365, Excel, SharePoint, and Power BI.
• Strong cost estimating, budgeting, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing Client contracts and processing payments.
• Review monthly invoices for professional services and contractor work.
• Coordinate Independent Cost Estimates (ICE) for upcoming contracts.
• Conduct Bid Analyses and compare against ICE.
• Coordinate bi-weekly project reviews with Client and Bechtel teams.
• Monitor project funding, budget, and performance; identify variances.
