Job summary

PPG is seeking a Project Control Engineer for the Circleville, OH facility. You will scope, engineer, design, and install projects including new installations and modifications, coordinating with contractors, operations, and maintenance to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and spending, ensure OSHA PSM and environmental permitting requirements, and report to the Engineering Services Manager.

Qualifications

• 5 years of controls / DCS / PLC experience.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming in an industrial environment or willingness to learn.
• Experience with GE Proficy iFix SCADA, HMI, and historian software is a plus.
• Strong communication plans for technical and non-technical personnel; problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans and conceptualize systems; communicate plans to technical and non-technical personnel.
• Create scope documents, obtain bids, oversee construction, schedule outages, and assist startup operations.
• Develop budgets and schedules to drive project completion within constraints.
• Track spending from conception to commissioning and adjust to stay within authorized amounts.
• Assist in diagnosis of operational problems and maintenance troubleshooting.
• Oversee process control installations, infrastructure, plant power distribution, and supporting systems.
