Job summary

The Aegis Companies are seeking a Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support for data center projects. This on-site role will collaborate with project managers, construction professionals, and stakeholders to develop, manage, and monitor CPM schedules through the project lifecycle.

Candidates should have 2+ years in project controls and CPM scheduling, with data center experience preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5+ years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry.
  • One or more years of experience in project controls for data centers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or a related field (waived with five or more years of direct vertical construction experience).
  • Ability to interpret construction documents.
  • Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Development, maintenance, and monitoring of construction CPM Schedules.
  • Review project documents and specifications to develop baseline schedules.
  • Perform progress schedule updates with reporting and narratives.
  • Review project schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goals.
  • Perform critical path analyses and propose corrective actions.
  • Conduct site walks for progress validation and monthly reporting.
  • Review contractor progress and present to management for decisions.
  • Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks for the program.
  • Cost and resource management and reporting.
  • Identify and evaluate risk and impacts within project schedules.
  • Communicate project status and challenges clearly.
  • Meet with project teams, clients, owners, and stakeholders.

About the Role

We are currently looking for a Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support services to our valuedclient'sdata centerpractice. This position will work with a team of professionals, including client project managers, construction professionals, and project stakeholders, to develop, manage,andmonitorCPM schedules and project control systems throughout a project's life cycle.This role is a significantproject team position withmany growth opportunities.

  • Review project schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goals.

  • Conduct site walks for progress validation and prepare monthly reporting packages fortheproject site team.
  • Reviewthecontractor’s progress and presentitto management for decision-making.
  • Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program.
  • Cost and resource management and reporting.
  • Identification and evaluation of risk and impacts within project schedules.
  • Communicate project status and challenges effectively.
  • Meetwith project teams, clients, owners,and various stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Two or more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry.
  • Oneor more years of experience in project controls for data centers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture,engineering, construction, project management, orarelatedfield. This requirement may be waived withfiveor moreyears of direct, vertical construction industry experience.
  • Ability to accurately interpret construction documents.
  • Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences.
  • Cost and resource management and reporting,
  • Familiarity with contractual clauses as they apply to planning and scheduling,
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills,
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously,
  • AACEI PSP or PMI-SP certification(s) preferred.
  • This role requires being full-time on-site.

The pay range for this role is:

95,000 - 125,000 USD per year (Warrenton, MO)
