Job summary

Aegis is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to provide CPM scheduling and project control services for our data center practice. You will work with client project managers, construction professionals, and stakeholders to develop, manage, and monitor CPM schedules through a project’s life cycle.

The role requires five or more years of experience in project controls for vertical construction and data centers, plus a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within vertical construction.
  • Two or more years of experience in project controls for data centers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or a related field, or waived with extensive vertical construction experience.
  • Ability to interpret construction documents and to apply contractual scheduling clauses.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • AACEI PSP or PMI-SP certification(s) preferred; on-site 100% time.

Responsibilities

  • Development, maintenance, and monitoring of construction CPM schedules.
  • Review project documents to develop baseline schedules with dates, activities, and milestones.
  • Perform progress schedule updates with reporting and narratives.
  • Review schedules and provide recommendations aligned with execution goals.
  • Perform critical path analyses and propose corrective actions.
  • Conduct site walks for progress validation and monthly reporting packages.
  • Review contractor progress and present to management for decisions.
  • Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program.
  • Cost and resource management and reporting.
  • Identify risks and impacts within project schedules and communicate status.

About the Role

We are currently looking for a Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support services to our valuedclient'sdata centerpractice. This position will work with a team of professionals, including client project managers, construction professionals, and project stakeholders, to develop, manage,andmonitorCPM schedules and project control systems throughout a project's life cycle.This role is a significantproject team position withmany growth opportunities.

Requirements:
  • Fiveor more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry.
  • Twoor more years of experience in project controls for data centers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture,engineering, construction, project management, orarelatedfield. This requirement may be waived withfiveor moreyears of direct, vertical construction industry experience.
  • Ability to accurately interpret construction documents.
  • Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences.
  • Cost and resource management and reporting,
  • Familiarity with contractual clauses as they apply to planning and scheduling,
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills,
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously,
  • AACEI PSP or PMI-SP certification(s) preferred.
  • This role requires being full-time on-site.

The pay range for this role is:

135,000 - 180,000 USD per year (Childress, TX)
