Job summary

Prince is seeking a skilled project controls professional to support contract management, scheduling, and cost control for multiple projects. The role is based out of Augusta, GA, with responsibilities spanning cost reporting, KPI monitoring, and change order coordination.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 3+ years in construction engineering or project controls, with strong communication skills and experience in complex scheduling and accounting

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in construction engineering, project management or project controls.
• Experience with complex scheduling and cost control processes.
• Proven knowledge of construction accounting and change order processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes contract management records to provide technical advice or project control guidance.
• Assists with cost controls reporting and reconciliation of project cost reporting for one District or Mega Project.
• Assists scheduling process and support for District or Mega Project, including bid phase and project schedule creation, monthly reporting and schedule update.
• Assists with integration of Company systems to track, monitor and control costs or schedule; ensures training and utilization of approved systems for project reporting.
• Performs regular project reviews and monitors the job cost report against KPIs.
• Coordinates with Division Claims/Contract Manager in tracking and monitoring change order and claims preparation and resolution.
• Tracks activities around unsecured revenue and project contingencies and over/under billing to monitor project cash flow.
• Assists with resource and cost loading to the schedule, including labor/equipment/material projections and productivity trend reporting to forecast costs.
• Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan.

Job description

Supports project controls program and activities, including prime contract management, scheduling, and cost control and contract change management for one or more projects in a District. This position will be based out of Augusta, GA.

Job Responsibilities - this position will be based out of Augusta, GA

• Reviews and analyzes contract management records to provide technical advice or project control guidance.
• Assists with cost controls reporting and reconciliation of project cost reporting for one District or Mega Project and provides District or Project reporting to Project Controls Director for Division level reports.
• Assists scheduling process and support for District or Mega Project, including bid phase and project schedule creation, monthly reporting and schedule update,
• Assists with integration of Company systems to track, monitor and control costs or schedule. Ensures accurate training and utilization of approved systems for project document control and reporting.
• Performs regular project reviews and monitors the job cost report against key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Coordinates with Division Claims/Contract Manager in tracking and monitoring change order and claims preparation and resolution
• Tracks activities around unsecured revenue and project contingencies.
• Tracks of over/under billing to monitor and control project cash flow.
• Assists with resource and cost loading to the schedule, including labor projections, equipment and material projections, and productivity trend reporting to accurately forecast project costs and project financial outcome.
• Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• 3+ years’ experience in construction engineering, project management or project controls required.
• Experience with complex scheduling and cost control processes required.
• Knowledge of construction contract agreements and change order processes required.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, including construction accounting, required.
• Able to identify cost reduction strategies in schedule, quantities or contract specifications that align with project budget and design specification requirements.
