Job summary

Aegis in Mount Pleasant, WI seeks a Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support to clients, developing and maintaining CPM schedules and project control systems across project life cycles.

You will collaborate with client project managers, construction professionals, and stakeholders, perform CPM analyses, progress updates, risk evaluation, and prepare monthly reporting while traveling to site locations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Two+ years in project controls and CPM scheduling in vertical construction.
  • Experience in data centers preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or two years of equivalent experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor CPM Schedules.
  • Review documents to develop baseline schedules with milestones.
  • Perform progress schedule updates with reporting and narratives.
  • Review schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goals.
  • Perform critical path analyses and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct site walks for progress validation and monthly reporting packages.
  • Review contractor progress and present to management.
  • Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program.
  • Cost and resource management and reporting.
  • Identify and evaluate risk and impacts within project schedules.
  • Communicate project status and challenges to stakeholders.
  • Meet with project teams, clients, owners, and stakeholders.

About the Role

We seek a Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support services to our valued clients. This position will work with a team of professionals, including client project managers, construction professionals, and project stakeholders, to develop, manage, and monitor critical path method (CPM) schedules and project control systems throughout a project's life cycle.   • Development, maintenance, and monitoring of construction CPM Schedules.
  • Review project documents and specifications to accurately develop baseline schedules, including all required dates, activities, and milestones.
  • Perform progress schedule updates to include comprehensive reporting and narratives.
  • Review project schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goals.
  • Perform critical path analyses, identify schedule-related problems, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct site walks for progress validation and prepare monthly reporting packages for the project site team.
  • Review the contractor’s progress and present it to management for decision-making.
  • Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program.
  • Cost and resource management and reporting.
  • Identification and evaluation of risk and impacts within project schedules.
  • Communicate project status and challenges effectively.
  • Meet with project teams, clients, owners, and various stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Two or more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry.
  • One or more years of experience in project controls for data centers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or a related field. This requirement may be waived with two or more years of direct, vertical construction industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Ability to accurately interpret construction documents.
  • Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences.
  • Experience developing construction project schedules for projects over $50M.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • AACEI PSP or PMI-SP certifications preferred.
  • This role may include travel to site construction locations within the region.
