Job summary

The Aegis Companies seek a Project Controls Engineer to provide CPM scheduling and project control support for our construction clients. You will develop, maintain, and monitor CPM schedules, collaborate with project managers and field teams, and help keep programs on time and within budget.

Qualifications include 2+ years in project controls, 1+ year in data centers, a bachelor’s in a related field, proficiency with Primavera P6, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within vertical construction.
  • One or more years of experience in project controls for data centers.
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Ability to interpret construction documents and manage schedules for projects >$50M.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
  • Travel to site construction locations within the region may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Development, maintenance, and monitoring of construction CPM schedules.
  • Review project documents to develop baseline schedules with dates, activities, and milestones.
  • Perform progress schedule updates with reporting and narratives.
  • Provide recommendations based on execution goals and perform critical path analyses.
  • Prepare monthly progress reporting packages for the project site team.
  • Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program.
  • Cost and resource management and reporting; identify and evaluate risks in schedules.
  • Communicate status and challenges to project teams and stakeholders.

About the Role

We seek a Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support services to our valued clients. This position will work with a team of professionals, including client project managers, construction professionals, and project stakeholders, to develop, manage, and monitor critical path method (CPM) schedules and project control systems throughout a project's life cycle. General responsibilities include:
  • Development, maintenance, and monitoring of construction CPM Schedules.
  • Review project documents and specifications to accurately develop baseline schedules, including all required dates, activities, and milestones.
  • Perform progress schedule updates to include comprehensive reporting and narratives.
  • Review project schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goals.
  • Perform critical path analyses, identify schedule-related problems, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct site walks for progress validation and prepare monthly reporting packages for the project site team.
  • Review the contractor’s progress and present it to management for decision-making.
  • Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program.
  • Cost and resource management and reporting.
  • Identification and evaluation of risk and impacts within project schedules.
  • Communicate project status and challenges effectively.
  • Meet with project teams, clients, owners, and various stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Two or more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry.
  • One or more years of experience in project controls for data centers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or a related field. This requirement may be waived with two or more years of direct, vertical construction industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Ability to accurately interpret construction documents.
  • Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences.
  • Experience developing construction project schedules for projects over $50M.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • AACEI PSP or PMI-SP certifications preferred.
  • This role may include travel to site construction locations within the region.

The pay range for this role is:

90,000 - 130,000 USD per year (Mount Pleasant, WI)
