Job summary

LUZCO Technologies LLC is seeking a Project Controls Cost Analyst to join the Project Controls team in St. Louis. You will partner with project managers, engineers, and construction staff to monitor budgets, analyze financial data, and forecast project performance.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in project controls, strong Excel skills, and experience with SAP. Travel is required; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is expected.

The Role

Join LUZCO's Project Controls team and play a key role in helping deliver successful engineering and construction projects. As a Project Controls Cost Analyst, you'll partner with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to monitor project performance, track budgets, analyze financial data, and provide accurate forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and collaborating across multiple teams. You'll help ensure projects stay on track financially by providing meaningful analysis, maintaining reporting tools, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

What Your Day Will Look Like

• Partner with 5–6 project managers to support projects at various stages of design and construction.
• Develop, maintain, and update cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts.
• Ensure accurate reporting and quality checks on all project controls deliverables.
• Compare schedules to financial data to verify project timelines align.
• Integrate and analyze data in Excel using formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc.
• Review upstream/downstream change orders and track budgets against POs and subcontracts.
• Analyze project reports, present findings, and make recommendations to the project controls team.
• Serve as a technical point of contact for APMs, PMs, Lead Engineers, and Construction staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• 4+ years of related experience in project controls or construction/project management support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think independently and make quick, sound decisions.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with SAP preferred.
• Ability to travel and a valid driver’s license.
