Job summary

LUZCO Technologies LLC in Akron, OH seeks a Project Controls Cost Analyst to partner with project managers, engineers, and construction teams. You’ll monitor budgets, analyze financial data, and provide forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.

The role suits data lovers who solve problems and collaborate across teams. You’ll develop cost reports, ensure reporting quality, and identify opportunities for improvement while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business.
• 4+ years of related experience in project controls or construction/project management support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with 5–6 project managers to support projects at various stages of design and construction.
• Develop, maintain, and update cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts.
• Ensure accurate reporting and quality checks on all project controls deliverables.
• Compare schedules to financial data to verify project timelines align.
• Integrate and analyze data in Excel using formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc.
• Review upstream/downstream change orders and track budgets against POs and subcontracts.
• Analyze project reports, present findings, and make recommendations to the project controls team.
• Serve as a technical point of contact for APMs, PMs, Lead Engineers, and Construction staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The Role

Join LUZCO's Project Controls team and play a key role in helping deliver successful engineering and construction projects. As a Project Controls Cost Analyst, you'll partner with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to monitor project performance, track budgets, analyze financial data, and provide accurate forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and collaborating across multiple teams. You'll help ensure projects stay on track financially by providing meaningful analysis, maintaining reporting tools, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
