Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations is seeking a Project Control Analyst II to support the Joint Base Lewis McChord project in Washington State. This onsite role requires that you live within commuting distance from JBLM.

The successful candidate will assist project managers in driving financial performance through planning, tracking, and reporting, with responsibilities spanning month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and EV calculations, using Costpoint and related tools.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with the ability to pass a thorough background check.
• 2-5 years of experience in a financial analysis, FP&A, or project controls role (Government Contracting Experience Required).
• Excel proficiency, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and PivotTables.
• Solid understanding of EACs, ETCs, unbilled analysis, and core project financial concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in driving project financial performance through planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Consolidate, analyze, and present monthly and quarterly financial forecasts.
• Review labor utilization and provide insights for operational decisions.
• Act as primary contact for data requests, financial analyses, and issue resolution.
• Complete month-end close tasks and analyze monthly results for budget impacts.
• Develop baseline budgets and EACs in partnership with program leadership.
• Monitor project actuals, manage variances, and communicate issues.
• Process subcontractor and vendor payments and monitor invoicing.
• Generate and interpret project financial reports and earned value analyses.
• Review contracts and assist with pricing extensions and funding notifications.
