Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Project Controls Advisor II (Cost) for a 12‑month assignment based in Carlsbad, NM or Odessa, TX. The role focuses on project cost control, controls system development, contract administration, and documentation, with mentoring and process improvements in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include forecasting, estimating, headcount planning, and supporting engineers across 2–3 projects, with travel to project sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or construction management required.
• 5–10 years in Project Controls focusing on cost.
• Experience with forecasting, estimating, and project support.
• Ability to coordinate cost control activities per company policies.
• Develop Project Controls Plans and Class 3 Cost Estimates.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Job Title: Project Controls Advisor II (Cost)

Duration: 12 months

Schedule: 5/40

Location: Carlsbad, NM or Odessa, TX

The role supports project cost control activities, controls system development, contract administration, and high-quality project documentation, while also contributing to mentoring and process improvement. This position offers involvement in execution planning, cost estimating, and planning and scheduling within a collaborative team environment, with travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Project forecasting and estimating


• Headcount projections and workforce planning


• Supporting Project Engineers with project execution and reporting


• Simultaneously supporting 2-3 projects

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management preferred


• Experience in Project Services and Project Controls


• 5-10 years of Project Controls experience focus on cost


• Experience with forecasting, estimating, and project support activities


• Capability to coordinate project cost control activities, including compliance with company policies and procedures


• Capability to develop Project Controls Plans


• Capability to oversee development of Project Class 3 Cost Estimate


• Capability to independently draft appropriation request packages, project procedures, and decision support documents


• Expertise in Project Controls, Planning and Scheduling, and Project Services


• Knowledge of project management best practice frameworks and key work processes


• Strong capability in project controls, execution planning, contracting strategy, contract administration, cost estimating, and planning and scheduling


• Strong organizational, business, communication, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Ecosys experience


• Downstream project experience
