Job summary

ATMOS Space Cargo is seeking a Project Controller to join our Finance team in Europe. You will monitor and control financial performance across engineering and development projects, ensuring cost transparency and budget compliance.

You will provide insights, support planning and forecasting, and help drive informed business decisions in a fast-paced environment. Multinational team, focus on accurate reporting and cost allocation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
• 2+ years of experience in project controlling, financial controlling, or project finance, ideally in aerospace/space/engineering/manufacturing or related tech industries.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost controlling, and financial analysis.
• Experience with publicly funded projects and complex reporting is desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills, structured and reliable working style.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with controlling tools.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); German or French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare regular project cost reports and forecasts for project teams, management, and external funding bodies.
• Support Engineering leads in planning, budgeting, forecasting, and tracking expenditures through the project lifecycle.
• Ensure accurate cost allocation and compliance with contractual and funding requirements for publicly funded programs.
• Analyze labor, material, procurement, and external service costs for accurate accounting and reporting.

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the financial performance of our engineering and development projects, ensuring cost transparency, budget compliance, and reliable financial reporting.

Working closely with Engineering, Procurement, HR and Finance, you will provide meaningful financial insights, support project planning and forecasting, and contribute to informed business decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• You will monitor project costs, budgets, and financial performance across multiple engineering and development projects
• You will prepare regular project cost reports and forecasts for project teams, management, and external funding organizations
• You will support our Engineering leads in planning, budgeting, forecasting, and tracking project expenditures throughout the project lifecycle
• You will ensure accurate cost allocation and compliance with contractual and funding requirements for publicly funded programs
• You will analyze labor, material, procurement, and external service costs to ensure accurate project accounting and reporting

Profile required

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field
• 2+ years of experience in project controlling, financial controlling, or project finance, ideally within aerospace, space, engineering, manufacturing, or another technology-driven industry
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, cost controlling, and financial analysis
• Experience managing the financial aspects of publicly funded projects and working with complex reporting requirements is highly desirable
• Excellent analytical skills with a structured, detail-oriented, and reliable working style
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with controlling tools
• Fluent English, both written and spoken, German or French is a plus
