Job summary

Intellectt INC is seeking a Project Controller for a long-term, on-site role in Kansas City, KS. You will lead complex project schedules, manage CPM-based milestones, and oversee cost loading while coordinating with engineers and vendors to keep programs on track.

The position requires 7+ years of scheduling experience, advanced MS Project skills, and familiarity with Touchplan and procurement tracking. Expect close collaboration with leadership for schedule reviews and risk updates.

Job Description & Skill Requirement

• Expert-level Microsoft Project experience is mandatory.
• Familiarity with the Touchplan application.
• Lead project management and project scheduling activities.
• Develop and manage CPS schedules in Microsoft Project.
• Understand project scope blocks and develop complex project schedules with minimal supervision.
• Ensure accurate task durations, sequencing, relationships, and resource allocation.
• Progress schedules from feasibility-level (50% confidence) to approximately 80% confidence.
• Analyze schedule impacts related to scope, procurement, and execution changes.
• Evaluate procurement delays, scope changes, OEM expediting, and split shipments.
• Analyze multiple staffing and shift scenarios and their impact on project schedules.
• Perform backward planning and pull planning for critical activities.
• Prepare schedule summaries for leadership reviews.
• Identify and recommend schedule acceleration opportunities.
• Manage Level 2 project schedules with proper durations, sequencing, and resource assignments.
• Provide technical expertise for equipment, unit operations, and process systems.
• Collaborate with team leaders to build, evaluate, and optimize project schedules.
• Review critical path, cost loading, schedule logic, relationships, lags, constraints, and milestones.
• Facilitate weekly project schedule review meetings.
• Provide schedule analysis, performance metrics, and risk updates to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with project resources to track progress and communicate concerns to Project Managers.
• Lead/assist comprehensive schedule submissions using the Project Success Method, including resource and cost loading.
• Manage Equipment Status Memorandum (ESM) activities with design firms, equipment vendors, and stakeholders
• Monitor equipment delivery risks and communicate schedule impacts.

Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years of project scheduling experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Project Mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Critical Path Methodology (CPM) and milestone management.
• Knowledge of LEAN scheduling and Touchplan.
• Understanding of procurement tracking, including ESM/ISM processes.
• Strong project costing and cost optimization knowledge.
• Excellent stakeholder coordination with engineering vendors, construction contractors, and project teams.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and analytical skills.
• Engineering degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering (BE/B.Tech/BS/MS).
