We are partnering with a leading electrical construction organization to hire a Project Controls Coordinator to support large-scale mission critical / data center construction projects.
This is a contract opportunity for a project controls professional who has worked within fast-paced, schedule-driven construction environments. Previous data center or mission critical construction experience is highly preferred and will be a major factor in candidate selection.
What You’ll Be Doing
The Project Controls Coordinator will work closely with project management and field leadership to help maintain visibility into project schedules, costs, productivity, materials, and overall project performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support project scheduling, planning, and progress tracking across large-scale construction projects
- Assist with Primavera P6 scheduling, schedule updates, and project forecasting
- Track project costs, productivity, earned progress, and performance metrics
- Support estimating and workface planning activities
- Perform cost analysis and forecasting to identify potential project risks or variances
- Coordinate and track materials, equipment, subcontractors, and project deliverables
- Support material management and ensure critical materials align with construction schedules
- Manage and track project changes, including RFIs and extra work/change documentation
- Maintain accurate project controls documentation, reports, spreadsheets, and databases
- Develop and maintain detailed Excel-based tracking and reporting tools
- Work closely with Project Managers, field management, construction teams, and clients
- Help identify schedule, cost, material, and productivity issues before they impact project execution
What We’re Looking For
- Data center / mission critical construction experience strongly preferred
- Experience supporting large-scale industrial, commercial, or mission critical construction projects
- Background in Project Controls, Scheduling, Cost Controls, Project Coordination, or Construction Controls
- Experience within electrical construction is highly desirable
- Understanding of project controls methodologies, processes, and best practices
- Strong experience with project scheduling, progress tracking, cost analysis, forecasting, and reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including detailed spreadsheets, workbooks, trackers, and databases
- Experience with Primavera P6 is highly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving construction environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across both field and project management teams
- Flexibility to relocate or work away from home based on project needs
