Job summary

Onterris, a leading environmental solutions firm, seeks a Project Civil Engineer – Land Development in Valley Forge, PA. You will design subdivision and land development projects, oversee site grading and utility design in 3D using AutoCAD Civil 3D, and manage projects from scope to client reporting.

Responsibilities include stormwater design, erosion control, roadway design, and construction inspection. A PE license and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in PA.

A Day in the Life

Our Project Civil Engineer – Land Development position is located in Valley Forge, PA.

The Site Design group provides typical site / civil design services for Institutional, Commercial, Residential, and Industrial projects throughout the Northeast Region. We also support other Onterris groups on a wide variety of projects across the country. The Site Design group is part of the Environmental Engineering and Consulting team that delivers solutions for complex environmental challenges using our regulatory expertise and implementing practical and cost-effective compliance management processes and programs. Onterris addresses our clients’ biggest concerns around permitting, ecoservices, assessment, and remediation.

The compensation range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and skills.

To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities

• Development of Subdivision and Land Development Plans
• Site grading and utility design in three dimensions using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Stormwater Management design
• Erosion & Sedimentation Control and BMP designs
• Vertical and horizontal roadway designs
• Project detailing
• Construction inspection and field testing
• Project Management
• Manage project budgets, hours and timelines, and interface with clients to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs are met
• Support business development efforts including scope development, fee estimation, and proposal generation
• Assume additional responsibilities

Your Expertise And Skills

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited four-year college or university program
• 6+ years of relevant experience
• A licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in PA
• Experience using AutoCAD, HydroCAD, GIS, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel software
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory standards, compliance and engineering principles
• Excellent problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and demonstrated project management skills to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team environment and build effective working relationships
