Job summary

Qualifications

• 4–8 years progressive civil engineering experience.
• Experience with utility infrastructure and environmental permitting.
• New York P.E. license preferred; Engineer-in-Training acceptable.
• Familiarity with NY Article VIII requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering plans and exhibits supporting New York Article VIII transmission permitting.
• Serve as a Project Civil Engineer for electric transmission, substation, energy storage, and utility projects.
• Support planning, design, and delivery of civil components including site grading and drainage.
• Prepare and coordinate calculations, technical reports, drawings, and permit-ready packages.
• Coordinate with environmental, permitting, survey, GIS, and engineering teams.
• Assist with project management responsibilities including budgeting and scheduling.
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff and support client communications.
• Support proposal development, client service, and business development.
• Promote health, safety, quality, and technical excellence.
