Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT), named one of Zweig Group’s “Best Firms to Work For,” is a consulting firm with engineers, planners, and design professionals actively seeking to fill a full-time position in our Columbus or Cincinnati, OH office. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership qualities, teamwork, independence, a willingness to learn, and a desire to help grow our aviation business.

Responsibilities

1. Planning, design, and construction of civil & transportation projects focused on aviation development.
2. Leading design tasks, supervising, and directing junior staff.
3. Preparing bidding documents, including plans and specifications, site development, grading, drainage, pavement design, signage, utilities, cost estimates, and construction scheduling.
4. Supporting client relationships and business development in aviation.
5. Managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary projects.
6. Overseeing construction activities, including site observation and project engineering.
7. Engaging in community outreach and client prospecting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum five years of civil engineering experience, including transportation and civil site development; aviation experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Professional Engineering License in Ohio, Kentucky, or Indiana.
• Experience in business development, staff supervision, and civil design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Willingness to travel as needed.
