Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT), named one of Zweig Group’s “Best Firms to Work For,” is a consulting firm with a team of engineers, planners, and design professionals. We are actively seeking a full-time Civil Engineer for our Columbus or Cincinnati, OH office. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership qualities, teamwork, independence, a willingness to learn, and an interest in growing our aviation business.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Planning, design, and construction of civil & transportation projects focused on Aviation development.
  • Lead design tasks, supervise, and direct junior staff.
  • Prepare bidding documents, including plans & specifications, site development, grading, drainage, pavement design, signage, erosion control, utilities, quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and construction scheduling.
  • Support client management and develop relationships with aviation clients.
  • Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary tasks for aviation projects.
  • Oversee construction activities, including site observation and project engineering.
  • Assist in business development, outreach, and community engagement.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of civil engineering experience in transportation, site development, and infrastructure; aviation experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) in Ohio, KY, or IN.
  • Experience in business development and staff supervision.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D for design and analysis.
  • Willingness to travel periodically.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
