Job Description

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team and contribute to multi-discipline design projects on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Newark, NJ. This person will have the opportunity to lead various public and private site development projects and work with municipal clients across multiple markets.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple projects and tasks, including monitoring schedules & budgets to ensure effective completion.
• Meet regularly with clients.
• Prepare proposals for new & existing clients, including estimating project fees.
• Oversee the development of Land Development Plans, including engineering design drawings, technical specifications, and reports from schematic design through construction.
• Coordinate permits through regulatory agencies for large-scale, complex projects.
• Delegate workload to Junior Engineers & Drafters, mentoring them in Stormwater Management strategies, Utility Coordination, and Erosion & Sediment Control Design.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of professional engineering experience, preferably with Land Development projects.
• PE license in NJ or ability to obtain it within 6 months of start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications such as CME, CFM, PP, etc., are a plus.
• Management or Project Management experience managing multi-discipline projects.
• Proficiency in site design, grading, utility design, stormwater management, and municipal & land-use approvals.
• Experience with H&H modeling tools for stormwater management.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, CADD, project management software, and Microsoft Office 365; Bluebeam Revu experience is a plus.
• Ability to see the big picture and coordinate various disciplines effectively.
• Consistent punctuality and attendance.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work independently.
• Problem-solving skills across multiple projects.
