Job summary

Legend Homes in Houston is seeking an experienced Project & CAD Manager to oversee outsourced architectural projects and manage CAD standards and workflows. You will support drafting teams, ensure quality control, and drive process improvements to meet project schedules.

This role emphasizes coordinating with architects, designers, engineers, and leadership to uphold company standards for accuracy and consistency.

Qualifications

Residential/contractor environment experience preferred.
Experience executing construction documents.
Strong drafting standards and quality control required.

Responsibilities

Manage architectural projects from design development to construction documents.
Ensure drawings are complete, accurate, and released per schedule.
Coordinate base plans, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings.
Coordinate with engineers and consultants when technical clarification is required.
Review plans for constructability and code compliance.
Maintain CAD standards, templates, layer standards, and drafting procedures.
Develop standards for integrating AutoCAD, PDF markup tools, and other design technologies.
Troubleshoot CAD file issues and plotting errors.
Serve as primary architectural contact for outsourced drafting teams.
Conduct coordination meetings with outsourced drafting managers and production teams.
