Kamran & Company is seeking a Staff Accountant in Fargo, ND. The role focuses on ensuring accurate project cost tracking, WIP reporting, and tax compliance, working closely with the Controller, project managers, and the sales team.

The ideal candidate will handle general ledger tasks, month-end close, and support audits, while maintaining strict internal controls and timely financial schedules for diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in project-cost environments.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and accurate reconciliations.
• Experience with multi-state sales/use tax filings.
• Advanced Excel skills and cross-system fluency.
• Meticulous attention to detail with ability to self-review.

Responsabilités

• Perform project-level cost tracking across labor, materials, and subcontracted work.
• Prepare monthly WIP schedules and revenue recognition.
• Reconcile job costs to GL and investigate variances.
• Support tax filings, audits, and compliance efforts.
• Post journal entries and assist with month-end close.
• Respond to PMs, vendors, and clients with clear, documented communications.
