Job summary

Inspired Thinking Group seeks a Staff Accountant/Accounting Analyst to maintain accurate financial records and support month-end close in a fast-paced marketing agency environment in Chicago. You will handle journal entries, AP, and project-based accounting tasks, ensuring GAAP adherence and smooth client billing cycles.

Requirements include 2+ years in tax/accounting, strong Excel, and ERP experience (NetSuite/Workamajig/Deltek/Intacct).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of tax and/or accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting practices.
• Experience with project-based accounting, WIP, and client billing.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
• Manage fixed assets and depreciation reporting.
• Process vendor invoices, POs, and account coding to jobs.
• Support audits, tax registrations, and internal controls.
• Collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced agency environment.
