This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Associate, Healthcare Transformation based in United States.

This role supports healthcare transformation initiatives focused on improving quality, access, affordability, and program integrity. You will help lead a small team responsible for reviewing potential improper payments involving Advance Payment of Premium Tax Credits on state-based health insurance exchanges. The position combines project coordination, data review, quality oversight, research, and stakeholder communication. You will help translate project requirements into practical actions while keeping activities, timelines, and deliverables on track. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to work involving public health programs and the effective use of government resources. Success requires strong organization, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual environment.

Accountabilities

• Review health insurance application data to evaluate eligibility for Advance Payment of Premium Tax Credits (APTC) on state-based health insurance exchanges and support accurate program integrity activities.
• Determine potential APTC improper payments, document and report findings, resolve discrepancies, and support the timely closure of appeal cases.
• Lead the execution of assigned project activities, coordinating work across a small team to promote efficient and consistent delivery.
• Perform oversight and quality reviews of work products produced by team members, ensuring project outputs meet established expectations for accuracy and completeness.
• Present findings, project updates, and relevant insights to project leadership and stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
• Support annual program updates by conducting health policy analysis, reviewing relevant information, and translating findings into practical project recommendations.
• Manage project information and workflows through tools such as Airtable, including data management, record maintenance, and interface coordination.
• Serve as a central point of contact for team members, helping ensure they have the resources, information, and support needed to complete their responsibilities.
• Assist with developing and maintaining project plans, timelines, milestones, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate and monitor project activities to ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Prepare and distribute project-related documents, reports, and other materials while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, identify issues that could affect progress, and communicate status and potential solutions to project leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of related professional experience, preferably involving project coordination, healthcare programs, research, data analysis, or related work.
• Experience working with or for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of health insurance exchanges and related healthcare program processes is preferred but not required.
• Ability to translate project requirements and needs into practical operational actions while providing consistent support across multiple activities or projects.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate tasks, and consistently meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Airtable or similar project and information management tools is strongly preferred, although not required.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when managing project information, reviewing data, and preparing documentation.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify issues, investigate potential causes, and develop practical solutions that support project progress.
• Ability to conduct basic research, synthesize information, summarize findings, and extract relevant insights from multiple sources.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders in a virtual environment.
• Ability to provide team support and oversight while working independently, prioritizing competing demands, and maintaining consistent productivity.
• Candidates must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; employment-based visa sponsorship, including H-1B sponsorship, is not available for this position.
• Depending on project requirements, candidates may need to satisfy specific U.S. residency requirements.

• Anticipated annual salary range of $67,500-$77,000 USD, with offers determined based on factors including internal equity and relevant market considerations.
