Join AIR as a Project Associate and use your experience and knowledge to help us deliver on our mission: to generate and use rigorous evidence that contributes to a better, more equitable world for all. The Project Associate supports and coordinates project tasks, manages information in project management tools, performs basic research, supports data collection, acts as a central contact for team members, and assists in developing and maintaining project plans and timelines.

This position willsupport FEWS NET Learning and Data Hub, a critical component of the Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET) project. FEWS NET is a leading provider of early warning and analysis on acute food insecurity, supporting evidence-based decision-making to mitigate humanitarian crises globally.

This position has the flexibility to work remotely within the United States (U.S.) or from one of AIR's U.S. office locations. This does not include U.S. territories.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle a variety of tasks to ensure smooth project execution and efficiency.
  • Manage information in project management tools like Airtable, including data management and interface coordination.
  • Perform basic research tasks, such as summarizing and extracting information from documents and meetings.
  • Support data collection activities using tools such as Fillout, Airtable, Jotform, and Qualtrics.
  • Act as a central point of contact for team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Coordinate and monitor project activities to ensure timely completion.
  • Prepare and distribute project-related documents and reports.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve issues that may impact project progress.


Qualifications:

Education, Knowledge, and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Experience working on research projects strongly preferred.


Skills:



  • Ability to translate project needs into operational actions and provide consistent support across multiple projects.
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and ensure timely completion of project activities.
  • Proficiency in Airtable or similar tools strongly preferred but not required.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing project information and preparing documents.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues that may impact project progress.
  • Ability to perform basic research, summarize findings, and extract relevant information from various sources.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate efficiently in a virtual work environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

AIR's Total Rewards Program, is designed to reward our staff competitively and motivate them to achieve our critical mission. This position offers the anticipated annual salary as listed. Salary offers are made based on internal equity within the institution and external equity with competitive markets. Please note this is the annual salary range for candidates that are based in the United States.

Anticipated Annual Salary Range $70,000 — $85,000 USD
