Job summary

The Falcon Group in Miami, FL is seeking a Project Associate to assist on construction administration, field inspections, and project coordination across multifamily, commercial, and restoration projects. You will help review plans, monitor schedules, and document progress on active sites while wearing appropriate PPE.

This role requires comfort working outdoors in South Florida heat, climbing ladders, and traveling to sites.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage internal kick-off, milestone, and closeout meetings for projects.
  • Work closely with teams to understand the scope of work, budget, goals, deliverables, and timeline to ensure project success.
  • Review drawings, plans and specifications.
  • Verify schedules, ensure adherence to project plans and timelines to be met by internal and external resources.
  • Reviewing and approving change orders.
  • Conducts on-site inspections and documents existing conditions and performs field testing, photographing, the creation of hand sketches and observes work in progress.
  • Maintains organized records, files, drawings, or other data essential to the project and ensure they are complete and filed appropriately.
  • Preparation of written correspondence with clients, attorneys, contractors etc.
  • Prepares investigation reports and bid documents, including drawings and technical specifications.
  • Preparation of cost estimates by field measuring building and site components or performing take-off of drawings.
  • Design various structural/civil details and plans.
  • Business development which involves attendance at marketing functions, business dinners/ events, and cross marketing with other offices.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

The Role: Project Associate in Miami, FL

Looking for a Project Associate to assist on construction administration, field inspections, project coordination, and building restoration. Need to be willing to work in South Florida field conditions, including prolonged exposure to high temperatures and humidity, active construction and restoration sites, condominium properties, parking garages, roofs, balconies, pool decks, crawl spaces, and other outdoor environments. Performsite inspections that may require climbing ladders, accessing elevated areas through scaffolding or suspended access systems, navigating active construction sites, and routinely wearing personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety vests, safety glasses, and work boots. Willingness to learn, adaptability, and commitment to a field-oriented career path are key factors in this position.

Estimated salary range for this position is $57,500 to $70,000. The salary listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. The salary offered will vary based on experience, education, skills, abilities, and certifications/license if applicable.

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Structural/Civil Engineering or Construction Management or relevant work experience. (Master of Science is a plus)
Work Experience
  • Two years’ experience, and/ or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Engineering Intern (EI) Certification (or ability to obtain one within 6 months).
  • OSHA 10 hour certified preferred.
  • Must have or be able to obtain an unrestricted valid Driver’s License.
Skills:

    • Safely use and/or operate ladders, scaffolds, lifts, and other access equipment.
